University

Estate and Facilities Management

The Department is responsible for providing and maintaining an attractive physical environment for learning, teaching, research, social, sport and recreational activities.

This includes procuring major new development projects, day to day management of the university’s estate, provision of building and grounds maintenance and an extensive range of other essential services.

The university's estate contains a wide and varied range of properties that present their own challenges. Some, such as the Manor House and Trevin Towers at Eastbourne, are of architectural interest, whilst the Huxley and Checkland buildings are contemporary and sophisticated in design.
