Criteria for parking at Falmer
The criteria used for assessing applications for a car parking permit are as follows:
- to have main caring responsibilites (for a young child, an elderly person, or a person with a disability), such that the use of public transport is not a viable option;
- to be registered as a disabled driver;
- to have to travel from an area where public transport is poor or unavailable.
Please note:
- During vacation times when there is less demand and provided your vehicle is in a designated parking space (excluding disabled driver spaces, unless you have a blue badge), you may park at Falmer;
- Visitor parking at Falmer;
Should your request for a parking permit at either Falmer or Varley, be denied, you may wish to appeal. This must be made in writing to: Tim Bretherick, Estate and Facilities Management, Exion 27, Crowhurst Road, Hollinbury, Brighton, BN1 8AF.
The appeals panel meets on a regular basis and will endeavour to deal with your appeal as quickly as possible.
