Parking
University parking permits are required at Eastbourne (students not living in halls of residences and university staff only); Falmer and at the Moulsecoomb site. Please note the following:
- A valid parking permit reflecting accurate details of the vehicle in which the permit is displayed must be visible from the outside of the vehicle.
- The expiry date must be printed on the parking permit.
- Students should ensure their current permit is valid until the end of their course. If the permit does not reflect the length of the course, or if the applicant’s details have changed in any way, another parking application form must be completed.
- At Moulsecoomb due to construction work at Varley Halls and the subsequent loss of car parking spaces, parking for park and ride permit holders only has been relocated to the designated parking spaces in the Watts North car park. Any vehicle parked in this area and not displaying a valid park and ride permit will receive a penalty ticket.
- The university's free park and ride shuttle bus service operates between Watts and Falmer from 0730 to 1900 during term time only.
- The Big Lemon Bus Service provides a half-hourly shuttle service between Moulsecoomb, Varley and Falmer.
- Vehicles displaying a disabled permit are eligible to park in any disabled bay, or legitimate parking space, except the blue bays (visitor parkings spaces) at Falmer.
- Parking spaces at Falmer, in particular, are at a premium - so please use public transport wherever possible.
Parking at Eastbourne is currently under review. Restrictions are not yet in force and a notice will be posted shortly.
