Buses and trains
Eastbourne: for site information and bus, coach and train services
Exion : the 24 bus operates between Brighton town centre, the Old Steine and the university's Moulsecoomb site before turning up Coldean Lane. It stops at Crowhurst Road where the Exion building, housing the EFM central office, is located. The 5B ('universities') serves both Falmer and Varley Halls, running between Falmer and Coldean Lane at peak times.
Falmer
The number 25 and 25A services run to and from Hove and Brighton town centre every six minutes. The 25B operates between the Old Steine and the university, and the 23 between Kemp Town and the university (avoiding the city centre altogether). During peak travel times a number 84 also serves the Falmer campus from the eastern area of Brighton (Whitehawk through Woodingdean) . As above, the 5B ('universities') serves both Falmer and Varley Halls, running between Falmer and Coldean Lane at peak times.
The Big Lemon Bus Service also operates to and from the university. The 44 offers a direct link between the university's Moulsecoomb site, Varley Halls and the Falmer campus, although it willl no longer extend to Hollingbury, ASDA. During vacation periods the service is restricted.
Please note that waste oil from the university's catering outlets is being converted into biofuel that the Big Lemon is now using to run their buses!
Grand Parade
Grand Parade is served by all the above buses and, in addition, the 1, 1A, 5, 5A, 5B, 24 and 49 (7, 27 and 37 serve the eastern area of Brighton).
A late night bus service: the N25, runs throughout the small hours, every 30 minutes, from Brighton city centre to the Falmer campus. In addition, during term time, the Big Lemon Bus Service operates the N42 from midnight. Also, please check out the city's new night service for general services across Brighton and Hove.
Moulsecoomb
In addition to the 25 service, bus numbers 24, 26, 49, 49A , and 28/29/29A (only some stops), all pass the Moulsecoomb site: Cockcroft, Watts and Mithras House.

Train travel:
The south coast railway runs to and from Brighton through both Falmer - situated at the edge of the campus and running parallel to the A27 - and also Moulsecoomb situated at the top of Queensdown School Road which runs adjacent to the Huxley Building.
There are four trains per hour and five per hour during peak times. The journey between Brighton and Falmer takes approximately 10 minutes.
