Estate and Facilities Management is responsible for the procurement and project management of new property developments.

• Current examples include the redevelopment of Varley Halls and the planned refurbishment of the Cockcroft building.
• Also, and following on from the university’s unprecedented recent activity in creating new teaching and social facilities, we invited feedback on the Huxley, Checkland and Falmer Sports Centre projects. The comments have been formally recorded and may make a real difference to the way we develop our future building programme and works.

The department also liaises with external partners and agencies on major property developments that create opportunities for the university, such as the Preston Barracks site, or which may have the potential to impact upon its operations like the Community Stadium.
