The new Biosciences building, also known as the north west corner project, is located at the Moulsecoomb site.

The development will provide specialist facilities for the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences and will include a green roof and solar panels.

The proposed redevelopment, currently known as the Biosciences building, will house the university's largest lecture theatre with a seating capacity for over 300 people and will span nine floors across two buildings, incorporating a student communal study area and multipurpose seminar rooms wiht moveable walls, as well as teaching rooms and laboratories.

nwcorner2nwcornerThe development will also enhance the existing entrance to the campus, creating a pleasant and safer pedestrian route into the University.

Good progress is being made on site by the appointed contractor, Morgan Ashurst, with completion planned for February 2010.
