These categories have been designed to suit the needs of the University staff and do not match the formal departmental/school structure of the University. (Documents and pages can also be browsed through the standard faculty/school/department structure).

All documents live within these 2-layer structure. The justification for this is that it makes it easier for information publishers to find the appropriate category(s) for their documents and for users to familiarise themselves with and find their way through the structure - nothing is ever more than two clicks away.
