Breadcrumbing facility
Breadcrumbing is a navigation feature that displays a list of places
a person has visited or the route a person has taken. You can see an example
on pages from the Environment
school site. Incidentally, the word is taken from the fairy tale of
Hansel and Gretel, who threw down bits of bread to help find their way
out of the forest.
Password Protected folders
A web based admin system to allow access to folder contents based on
a user name and password. Site administrators can set up private folders
which are inaccessible to users who do not have log in details. This system
is ideal for protecting certain projects or sets of information.
If you are working on a project which you might feel could benefit the
whole of the university, please get in contact with us, we may be able
to find partners or assistance in the project development.
Staff Homepages server
Space and instructions for staff to publish their own sites on university
servers.
Content Management System
A pilot to evaluate a simple CMS, allowing users to edit pages directly.
Print Friendly pages
A mechanism to deliver pages optimised for printing, without having to
reauthor each individual page.
Message or Bulletin Boards
To provide web based communications for individual projects or groups
