National Student Survey
The NSS is the largest national survey of satisfaction. It asks final year undergraduates about their course and their time at the university.
The 23 questions in the survey cover teaching, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources, personal development, satisfaction with the Students Union and overall satisfaction.
NSS 2012 was laucnhed on 9th January and students have until 30th April to complete the survey before it closes.
Survey data is published on Unistats and will be included in the new Key Information Set which forms part of the online prospectus for each course at the university. Student comments gathered through the survey are also used to plan, prioritise and drive improvements across the university.
Response rates
Response rates are published weekly throughout the survey period. Response rates have a significant impact on the external marketing and visibility of courses. They also determine what data are available to the university for internal purposes.
