Car Parking at the Falmer Campus - Staff application

Demand for parking at Falmer is far in excess of the spaces available. You are strongly advised not to bring your car onto the campus.

Parking will be restricted to holders of parking permits during the hours of 0730 to 1500 each weekday during term time. Permits will be allocated in accordance with the published criteria, having regard to the number of parking spaces available.

Staff and student application forms for parking permits and the criteria for their allocation have been placed on staffcentral, studentcentral and on the University's website at www.brighton.ac.uk. Hard copies are available from the Falmer Reception.

All information received on the application form will be treated in confidence. By submitting an application, you agree that information provided can be checked by the University's Audit Department. A permit will be withdrawn if it is found that false information has been submitteds on the application form.

Anyone requesting a parking permit on grounds of disability who does not hold a valid disabled 'Blue Badge' will be asked to provide evidence of the impairment or health condition. This must be a letter from a GP or hospital specialist. Letters from other parties, eg osteopaths, chiropractors, etc will not be accepted. Anyone requesting a permit because of care responsibilities must provide evidence that they are the registered main carer
.

The issue of a permit will not guarantee the availability of a space, only the right to search for a space.

Provision will be made for short term and pre-arranged visitor parking (including staff from other University of Brighton sites.

If you have no alternative, viable means of travelling to the University, to apply for a parking permit, please complete the application form.

I regret we are unable to state reasons for declining an application and we are unable to discuss perosnal details and circumstances over the telephone.

Applicants will be notified, of the outcome of their application, by post.
