| Committees
The University committee
system is one of the key means by which academic policy is developed
and approved. Furthermore, the operation of many academic polices and
processes rely on committee approval or endorsement.
All taught courses and research degrees come under the purview of the committee system. Responsibility for teaching, curriculum and assessment of taught courses rests with the relevant Board of study, Faculty Academic Board and ultimately the Academic Board, whilst responsibility for research degrees rests with the Research Degrees Committee, Academic Standards Committee and ultimately Academic Board.
