Increase your chances of research grant success
Are you working on a research grant application?
Would you like to receive feedback on your bid from an experienced peer reviewer?
In the last ten years the annual number of proposals to Research Councils has doubled and the competition for research funding is now higher than ever. Many major research funders including the BBSRC, ESRC and The Wellcome Trust recommend internal peer review as a method of increasing the chances of success. From November 2008 we are introducing a voluntary peer review system in order to support staff in writing research grant applications.
If you would like to have your application reviewed just send us a complete draft of your full bid at least a month before any deadline. You will receive feedback on your application from an experienced peer reviewer. The final version of the proposal will then be submitted for the usual approvals process by the Research Office and Schools/Faculties.
