Support for Research Council Grant Applications

With the aim of improving success rates of grant applications to Research Councils, the university ran a year-long pilot study to support Research Grant applications. The scheme will continue in 2011-12 and the new monthly panel deadlines are available below. The scheme is intended to be facilitative and supportive for those who need it while requiring minimum effort for experienced colleagues with a track record of success.

Key points:

  • A grant application summary is required for all Research Council grants to be submitted to a monthly panel of experienced reviewers

  • The scheme is be mandatory for all staff submitting Research Council grants

  • Collaborative bids where the University of Brighton is not the lead partner are currently excluded from this process.
