Meeting the threat from fire
In order to comply with the latest fire safety legislation, it is a mandatory requirement for the University to provide basic fire safety training to all staff.
To meet this requirement the University provides an e-learning package called 'meeting the threat from fire'. The knowledge gained from this package is equally applicable in the workplace and the home and it will help to reduce the risk from fire to staff and their families.
The package is modular in format enabling staff to study at a time, pace and location that suits them. It doesn't have to be completed in one attempt.
Completion of this course (30-40mins) will ensure staff have the necessary knowledge on how to prevent fires and also respond in an emergency.
