Occupational Health

The University’s Occupational Health Service includes the services of a Senior Occupational Health Adviser (SOHA) and an Occupational Health Adviser (OHA Health & Safety Department).

The SOHA works primarily with the Personnel Department and the OHA works primarily with the Health and Safety department. Their services are co-ordinated to promote the health, safety, well-being and welfare of staff. Advice is provided on health promotion, support for staff who are disabled and the rehabilitation of staff who are ill. The SOHA arranges referrals to a Medical Adviser, counsellors or other professionals where appropriate.
