If you have any questions about the information below or would like more information please contact the International Student Advisers:
- In person between 10.00 - 13.00 Monday to Friday (term time only) at the Student Advice Service on the second floor of Tithe Barn (map of Moulsecoomb).
Appointments are available outside these times and at other sites by prior arrangement.
Staff are based in the Tithe Barn on the Moulsecoomb site, although we do travel to other university sites on request.
Partner college students should seek support at their place of study in the first instance.
Immigration
The international student advisers (ISA) in the Student Advice Service are qualified to offer advice to students relating to visas and immigration issues. We can help with understanding paperwork, visa restrictions and extensions for thos wishing to stay longer in the UK. We can also help applications for visas to visit other countries.
Personal Support
The Student Advice Service has a member of staff dedicated to providing pastoral care for international students. This includes information about local social groups and social activities, support for common issues such as culture shock and practical advice about living in the UK.
Admissions staff should also see the Student immigration information available from Registry
Working
The Careers Centre offers career planning information, workshops and help with job applications and CVs as well as support for employment or further study.
Please note students in possession of a student visa, which allows them to work, can work no more than 20 hours per week during term time.

Healthcare
All international students who are studying for six months or more in the UK are eligible for NHS services.
Students staying in the UK for shorter periods of time may also access NHS services but this may be on a feepaying basis. See the international section of the university website for more information.
