Call transfer
To transfer any call, explain to the caller what you are going to do,
key inquiry [hear dial tone] and then key number of the extension
for the call. If the extension answers, explain that you have a call
for them and key transfer. If the other extension does not answer,
key access 1 to return to the caller. If they refuse the call, key
clear and then access 1 to return to the caller. To try to transfer
to a different extension, again key inquiry etc.
Conference Calls
*New* If your telephone is shown below then the conferencing procedure for that type of phone has recently changed. Click thumbnail to view larger image of each phone.

Up to eight parties may be included whether internal extensions or external telephone numbers. To expand a call into a conference, press 'Inquiry' [hear dial tone] and then dial the number to include, remembering to use a '9' prefix if dialling an external number. If the called party answers, invite them to join. If they agree, key 'Conf' and they will be included. If they decline key 'clear'. Repeat this procedure to add more parties to the conference, if required. Any member (not leader) of the conference may hang up at any time without affecting the connection between the others. Note that if a conference call is in progress, all parties will hear a conference warning tone at intervals.
Ringing options
The usual internal and external rings can be modified by programming
the instrument. Press the following keys in sequence to change them:
program
own
line 1
3 (or 1 or 4 ) 1
= normal, 3 = one ring, 4 = two rings
own line 1
program
Call holding
To place a call on hold, key access for the line the call is on. The
caller will hear nothing (silence) and so should be warned before
you do this. Use the same key to reclaim the call.
Abbreviated dialling
Function keys not used for other purposes may be programmed with specific
numbers for one key dialling. To do this press:
program
an
unused function key
number to store (inc. access - 9 or 6 if needed)
the function key
program
or
contact Telecoms to programme the number onto the spare key.
Last number redial
Digital phones do not usually have a general last number redial facility.
The last external number redial - *** - will work. A key can be programmed
to store the number just dialled when it is pressed, but this needs
to be set up by contacting Telecoms. |
